CLT are strong timber panels made out of large timber boards that are glued together in alternative directions. With the very good load-bearing capacity, the other main advantage is the reduction of building times.
Other options to the glued CLT are the cross-layered panels held together with wooden or metallic dowels, like the Austrian patent Wood100 (just wood) or the German MHM.
