Blending cutting-edge prefab craftsmanship with a flair for memorable guest experiences, Eco Tiny House and Feelmore are redefining the short-term rental market. We spoke with their founders about turning compact living into a profitable, design-forward hospitality model—and why prefab tiny houses are capturing the imagination of modern travelers across Europe.
Key Takeaways:
Feelmore grew from Eco Tiny House’s manufacturing expertise, blending premium prefab builds with a curated hospitality vision.
Tiny houses offer lower startup costs, eco-friendly appeal, and flexibility to operate in locations where traditional building permits are difficult.
Success begins with thorough market research, visiting other tiny house rentals, and selecting a manufacturer with proven quality.
Nature-rich locations are the strongest draw, enhanced by unique on-site experiences to make stays memorable.
Guests seek comfort and a touch of luxury—features like jacuzzis, saunas, and premium finishes drive bookings.
With 60% occupancy, a tiny house rental can deliver 20–25% annual returns, typically breaking even in 4.5–5 years.
Feelmore’s partnership model lets landowners host profitable rentals while the company manages design, operations, and guest services.
You’re both manufacturers and hospitality entrepreneurs. How did the idea for feelmore.hu grow out of your experience with Eco Tiny House, and what inspired you to combine tiny house building with tourism?
Feelmore co-founder Szilárd Burján was inspired by his travels and studies to create a standout tiny house resort. While searching for a manufacturer, he discovered Eco Tiny House, surprisingly based in his home region.
Eco Tiny House also had in depth experience in building guest-ready units for major brands. Combining their expertise with a clear hospitality vision led to the launch of Feelmore, now successfully hosting guests in Hungary, with plans to extend into other countries.
Many people dream of running an Airbnb business in a tiny house. In your view, what makes tiny houses such a great choice for short-term rentals?
Tiny houses have several advantages: lower startup and maintenance costs, efficient land use, and strong sustainability appeal due to eco-friendly materials. They’re also highly flexible, often installable in locations where traditional building permits would be hard to obtain, including remote spots with stunning views.
Their small size isn’t a drawback either. With social trends shifting, large families are less common; in fact, Eurostat data shows that 57% of EU households consist of just one or two people—making tiny houses a perfect fit for modern travellers.
For someone who wants to start a tiny house Airbnb, what’s the very first step they should take?
The first step is often the most critical, it can make or break the entire project. Our advice is to do your homework. Research the market, both locally and internationally. Stay in other tiny house rentals, get inspired, and learn firsthand what works and what doesn’t.
Once your concept is clear, choose a manufacturer carefully. Visit multiple builders, check the quality in person, and think long term. The cheapest option isn’t always the best.

COMPARE QUOTESWhat are the key factors to consider when choosing the right plot of land for a tiny house rental—whether in nature, near a city, or by water?
From our experience, closeness to nature is the most important factor. Eurostat data shows that 72% of people in the EU live in urban areas, so stepping out of the city and into a natural setting is a strong draw—especially for those seeking a digital detox. Interest in these kinds of retreats has steadily grown in recent years.
It’s also key that guests leave with unique experiences, something they couldn’t easily access elsewhere. Whether it’s petting alpacas, or simply enjoying the cozy, atmosphere of the tiny house, the location should offer something memorable and special.
In terms of design, what features do guests love most in your tiny houses, and what should new hosts prioritise to attract bookings?
Guests often come from urban environments seeking nature without giving up comfort. A sense of luxury is key. Tiny houses should feel more like a small retreat than a simple cabin. Features like air conditioning, a jacuzzi, or a sauna can make a big difference.
With limited space, every detail counts. Smart layout, premium materials, and thoughtful extras matter. At Feelmore, we offer a curated board game set, Danish designer kettles, and custom-branded amenities—all designed to elevate the guest experience.
From a business perspective, how quickly can someone expect a return on investment when renting out a tiny house as an Airbnb?
Based on our operating experience, with around 60% occupancy, owners can expect an annual return of 20–25%. This means the investment typically pays for itself in about 4.5 to 5 years.
If you know what you’re doing, a tiny house rental can be a very solid investment.
You’re now looking for partners who have plots of land. Could you explain how that partnership model works, and why it might be an easier way for someone to enter the Airbnb business?
At Feelmore, we’re looking for partners with land where a profitable tiny house can be placed. After the initial investment, we take care of everything, from legal prep, site setup, house production, design, operations, and guest communication.
Partners provide the location, we handle the rest. It’s a simple, low-effort way to enter the Airbnb market. We’re planning to expand Feelmore houses across multiple locations in the country.
Finally, for someone who’s still hesitating, what would you say to convince them that investing in a tiny house and starting an Airbnb business is worth it?
We like to invite people to spend a few nights in one of our tiny houses. There’s no better way to see how fun and experience-rich it can be. If you enjoy staying in it, chances are others will too. Visiting a tiny house resort and feeling it firsthand says more than any business plan. The experience speaks for itself.
