Maison Terrasse is a modular house built by Commod House, a prefab manufacturer based in Austria. This modular house provides 70 m² of living space with two bedrooms and one bathroom.
Maison Terrasse is a bungalow style home with 70m² of living space. The outdoor areas include a 55m²-cantilevered terrace, an outdoor storage room and roof covered ramp to a hidden entrance area. The form of the house is restrained and unobtrusive at street level. Large sliding elements provide light-filled living spaces and expansive external views. In order to maintain the privacy of the holiday home, sliding timber shutters are arranged to prevent views into the living areas.
Maison Terrasse has a flat inclined pitched roof and consists of a combination of oiled larch timber facade, plaster facade and a frame of Parklex panels (authentic wooden veneer facade panels with a resin core). The windows are oiled larch windows with triple-pane glazing. The interior design and kitchen planning includes appliances, the countertop with retractable dining table are all designed by the COMMOD design team and already installed on delivery. The floor is covered in oiled, 3-layered white-larch parquet. The same material was used for the work surfaces and the dining table, creating a harmonious and stylish ambience. The bespoke security entrance door is made from Larch and is core-insulated and equipped with security fittings. The surfaces are oiled, the brushed to provide and aged appearance on the exterior.
